Research Primary School Received $5.7 Million for Redevelopment
Research Primary will be revitalised with $5.7 million from the recent Andrews Labor Government State Budget. The much-needed funding will provide state-of-the-art facilities, giving students a modern learning environment nestled within the school’s bush surrounds.
Vicki Ward MP, a former student of Research Primary, has passionately advocated for funding for the school, leading to an election commitment during last year’s state campaign.
Established during the gold mining days, the school has an almost 130 year history, nurturing many students, including Australian cricketer Adam Dale, Northern Territory Labor Minister Dale Wakefield and Montsalvat’s Sigmund Jorgensen.
The Andrews Labor Government is getting on with building the schools our children need. The 2019-20 State Budget includes a record infrastructure investment of $1.8b for Victorian schools, benefitting local schools like Research Primary.
