Diamond Hills Preschool - New Accessible Facilities
The Member for Eltham, Vicki Ward MP along with Karen Egan, Mayor of Nillumbik Shire and Julie Drew, President of Diamond Hills Committee of Management opened the centre’s new inclusive playground funded through the Andrews Government’s Inclusive Kindergarten Facilities Program.
Nestled on top of Apollo Parkway, this preschool has created their own village and community.
Creating paths that are wheelchair accessible, scenic and tactile gardens as we as vegetable plots has been an integrated part of their project. A new storage shed has also improved accessibility.
The Andrews Government is making a record investment in preschool and working hard to ensure access to early education is as inclusive as possible. $102,000 was provided by the state government for this project.
