Vicki Ward MP becomes Parliamentary Secretary for Transport

Vicki Ward has been made Parliamentary Secretary for Transport after three new members of Cabinet were sworn in at the end of June and Cabinet undertook a minor reshuffle.

Having previously held the role of Parliamentary Secretary for Public Transport Infrastructure, the Member for Eltham’s new title better positions her to support two recent ministerial appointments.

Ben Carroll has stepped into the frontline roles of Minister for Public Transport and Minister for Roads and Road Safety, working across the Department of Transport.   Maintaining her role as Minister for Transport Infrastructure, Jacinta Allan now has an additional role as Minister for the Suburban Rail Loop and will lead the delivery of our biggest public transport project.

Vicki looks forward to working with both Ministers to continue to improve and build our transport network and help get Victorians home safer and sooner.

Quotes attributable to Vicki Ward:

‘It has been great supporting Jacinta to improve our public transport infrastructure over the past 18 months. I look forward to working with Minister Carroll across the Transport portfolio.”
