Eltham Community Hospital a Step Closer

Member for Eltham, Vicki Ward MP has been out in the community talking with locals about the Andrews Government getting on with investing $675 million to build ten community hospitals in major growth areas, including one in the Eltham electorate.

The Eltham community hospitals will add real value to the way healthcare is delivered in our community, providing more access to in-demand services, closer to home. The range of services offered at each hospital will be tailored for each community, with a strong focus on ensuring better integration of health and human services under one roof.

This year’s State Budget allocated $2 million to begin planning for these hospitals, including the one here in Eltham. Planning is now underway with the Eltham area Community Consultative Committee recently selected.
